Maramureș County Action Plan - Development of food industry chains in Maramureș County

The Action Plan "Development of food chain in Maramures County” aims to support the sustainable innovation process in this field, through instruments that stimulate the valorisation of local products representative for Maramures. The regional policy instrument initially addressed was Regional Operational Program (ROP) 2014-2020. Considering that the implementation of ROP 2014-2020 is nearing the end and the amounts allocated are exhausted, we have influenced another relevant instrument, in line with the ROP, namely Sustainable Development Strategy of Maramures County 2014-2020.

The action plan has two main actions:

  1. Development of Good of Maramures Association, which manages the “Good of Maramures” brand, stimulating the valorisation of local products representative for Maramures County
  2. Food Chain Innovation and Technological Dissemination in Maramures County, realized through the Association Good of Maramures, stimulating innovation in the food chains in Maramures County

Main results:

  • Good of Maramures labelling system operational, 64 food products licenced and 7 local food producers promoted through dedicated web-site and FB page, interactive map, participation in fairs and other events organized by county council, brochures and leaflets.
  • Innovation resources database: 16 records, Database Requests for solving existing problems at manufacturers: 4 manufacturers with innovation requests; 13 mediation files.
